YUAFFML RULES AND REGULATIONS

Welcome! We are very happy to have you here and look forward to having fun with you.

We have had bad experiences on a handful of mailing lists (which shall remain nameless ^^;) because of the lack/absence of rules, so to avoid them from happening on this ml, we have laid down several ground rules. Please read carefully and follow accordingly. Thank you.

Rules & Regulations:

(1) YUAFFML was created for the purpose of being an avenue for You're Under Arrest! fan fiction. Fan art is also welcome [please refer to rule (3)(b)]. ML features and previous messages can be seen at its Yahoo! Groups web site. Posts not related to YUAFF (e.g. information about the series, movie, manga, etc.) are NOT allowed on the list. If info is what you want, we advise you to subscribe to YUAML instead. To unsubscribe from the ml send a blank email to yuaff-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com.

(2) The ML believes in freedom of speech.
    (a) We understand that sometimes people just *have* to post off topic messages. For this reason we are allowing each member a total of *2* OT posts per month. Please tag the subject line of your message accordingly with [OT]. Spam is NOT considered an OT post and is NOT allowed. Use the privilege wisely.
    (b) Flames are NOT allowed. The ml is not a warfront and people do not want to be caught in the crossfire. If you simply can't resist, e-mail the person/s concerned *privately*.
    (c) Plagiarism is NOT allowed. By its simplest definition, plagiarism is to claim another person's work as your own, which is blatant theft. It is the reason a disclaimer must be placed at the beginning of a fan fiction to acknowledge the original creator/s and/or owner/s of the details used in your work.

(3) Be considerate.
    (a) Use text format for your messages. Not all people can receive messages in *.html format.
    (b) Not all people can receive attachments either, and even if they can, attachments take considerable time downloading and may crash inboxes. Please supply an alternate URL for documents (*.txt, *.doc, *.html, etc) and images (*.bmp, *.gif, *.jpg, etc), or upload the files on the ml web site.
    (c) If you are replying to / commenting on a previous post, quote only the part you are referring to. One-liners are NOT allowed.
    (d) PLEASE combine all your replies for the day in one message. Some of us belong to numerous mls and can only handle receiving so much email.

Disregard of any rule will merit a warning. The maximum number of warnings is 3, after which the person concerned will be banned from the ml. Violation of rule (2)(c) will merit instant ban from the ml.

All messages with an [O&M] ->[Owner & Moderator]<- or [ADMIN] ->[Administrator]<- tag MUST be read. Do not hesitate to send us your questions, clarifications, & comments. Let's work together to facilitate and maintain a creative atmosphere!
