All works sent from 25 June 2001 until
30 June 2002 are eligible for nomination. 

NOMINATION PERIOD:
5 August - 31 October 2002

NOMINATION ACCEPTANCE PERIOD:
1 September -31 October 2002

VOTING PERIOD:
05 November 20 December 2002

ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS:
25 December 2002

RULES & REGULATIONS
1. Each work should have at least 2 nominations
   in order to be eligible for an award.
a. An author may not nominate his/her own work.
b. A person may not nominate any work twice.
c. A person may nominate as many works in all
   categories. No limits!
d. All nominated fics in all categories are
   eligible for Best Overall.

2. Each eligible work [i.e. a work that has at
   least 2 nominations] is subject to examination
   [format, grammar, spelling, punctuation] by the
   YUAFF Awards 2002 Officials. The officials reserve
   the right to reject a nomination that does not
   fulfill the aforementioned criteria.

Authors are allowed to send their previously posted
work/s to the ml again until 30 September 2002 ONLY
IF significant revisions [improved format, corrected
spelling & grammar, etc.] have been made to the work/s.

If a work of any of the officials is eligible for
an award, the official whose work was nominated
may not examine if his/her work fulfills the
criteria. The other officials will do the
examination for him/her.

3. Authors whose works have been nominated will
   be informed by the YUAFF Awards 2001 Officials
   on 01 September 2002. In order to accept the
   nomination, the author must reply to the
   message sent by the officials by 31 October 2002.

4. If an author has numerous works nominated in
   1 category, he/she may accept only 2 nominations
   in that category.

5. Each category should have at least 3 nominees
   in order for a vote to be conducted. Otherwise
   there will be no vote for the particular category,
   but the nominees will each receive "YUAFF Awards
   2002 Honorable Mention" banners.

6. The YUAFF Awards 2002 winners will be announced
   on 25 December 2002. All winners will receive a
   "YUAFF Awards 2002 Winner" banner each.
   Non-winners will receive "YUAFF Awards 2002
   Honorable Mention" banners.

7. Best Overall winner will receive a YUA Special
   Files VCD, & a YUA Compiled OST, aside from
   the "YUAFF Awards 2002 Winner" banner.

= Best Series [On-Going] =

1. Series that are not finished by the end of the
   nomination acceptance period, 31 October 2002,
   are eligible for the Best Series [On-Going] Award.

2. If a nominated series is finished before or
   during the vote period, 01 October - 20 December
   2002, the persons responsible for the nomination
   of the series will be asked by the officials if
   they would like to nominate it for Best Series
   [Completed].

a. If at least 2 of the persons responsible for the
   nomination of the series nominate the series for
   Best Series [Completed], the series will be
   removed from the Best Series [On-Going] nominee
   list and will be added to the Best Series
   [Completed] nominee list. The vote for both
   categories will be reset to accomodate the changes.

b. Otherwise, the nomination of the series becomes
   void and it will be removed from the Best Series
   [On-Going] nominee list. The author of the series
   will receive an honorable mention banner.
